KVM Bulls and Sukhmani XI sweep home

<p>The Kundan Vidya Mandir Alumni Association (KVMAA) hosted the 7th Kundanite Premier League (KPL), where the senior division’s Sukhmani XI and the juvenile division’s KVM Bulls were crowned winners. On Sunday, the festival came to an end at the Kundan Vidya Mandir field, located in Civil Lines.</p>

<p>Sukhmani XI defeated Mitron XI by seven wickets in the senior final. Sukhmani XI won the championship after scoring 155 runs with the loss of only three wickets, defeating Mitron XI’s total of 152 runs after losing nine wickets. 70 runs from Sachin Arora helped the Sukhmani XI win.</p>
<p>The KVM Bulls defeated the Stadium Shockers, the champions of the previous year, by eight wickets in the junior division final to claim the trophy. Jatin Soni led the winning team with 55 runs scored.</p>
<p>The awardees received their rewards from Shri Kundan Lal Trust President Vinay Gupta. On this occasion, KVMAA office-bearers and members of the trust were present.</p>
<p>Conflicts between athletes and fans may become nasty</p>
<p>An unfortunate occurrence occurred during the junior section’s championship game between Stadium Shockers and KVM Bulls. During the game, fans of both teams were quite talkative and even made offensive comments about one another in front of the main guest and other dignitaries. After the game, players and their fans got into heated confrontations in their respective dugouts, and the altercation quickly became violent. After trading blows, one of them was noticed to be bleeding.</p>
<p>When asked whether any teams had filed complaints with the organizing committee, Kapil Gupta, general secretary of the KVMAA, said that appropriate action would only be taken upon receiving a formal complaint.</p>
